Sakai Kanechika VG10 Maho Long Petty 170mm
A knife with a longer blade than a normal Petty. Compared to petty, larger food is easier to cut. Also, since the width of the blade is narrower compared to Santoku, it is characterized by being easy to turn.
Manufactured in Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture, this series uses rust-resistant VG10 (V gold 10) stainless steel as the core material, and has been carefully sharpened one by one by Mr. Fujii Keiichi, a knife craftsman who has continued for three generations. The pattern is Western-style, using mahogany-style plywood, and processed into a shape that fits easily in the hand. Also, although it is a Western-style pattern, the core is only halfway in, so it is lighter and easier to handle compared to other Western-style patterns.
