Sakai Kanechika VG10 Maho Gyuto 210mm
A versatile knife known as a chef's knife overseas. The shape is different from Santoku and Bunka, and the blade length varies from about 170mm. The main length used at home is approximately 210mm to 240mm.
This series is manufactured in Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture, and uses rust-resistant VG10 (V Gold No. 10) stainless steel as the core material, and each knife is carefully sharpened one by one by Mr. Keiichi Fujii, a knife craftsman for three generations. The handle is Western-style, made of mahogany-style plywood, and shaped to fit comfortably in your hand. Although it is a Western-style pattern, the core is only halfway through, making it lighter and easier to handle compared to other Western-style patterns.
